Real Madrid: Mission Imbappossible?

What!? Vinicius says that Kylian Mbappé is coming to Real Madrid "very soon"? Ha, ha! Best joke ever!

PSG and France's rising star Kylian Mbappé has become, in recent seasons, one of the best footballers on the planet. He began by showing and outstanding level at AS Monaco, where he guided the team to the 2017 Ligue 1 title as well as a near birth at the Champions League semifinals. His brilliant season sparked the interest of the big teams in Europe. Real Madrid, tried to sign him, however, the French starlet decided to sign for Monaco's rival PSG for £178 million (It was supposed to be loan. Erm... Financial Fair Play anyone?). Everyone thought he would be a one season wonder (Martial, who?), but, since joining the Parisians, he has shown how good he is, to the point he has become an even better player.

Now, two seasons have passed, and after having one of their worst seasons ever, Real Madrid, are eyeing Mbappe once again. The great Real Madrid dream is to bring Mbappé to the Bernabéu, for the third galactic project, which already has signings like those of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao and Rodrygo (I'm still wondering what the f*** is Barcelona doing this transfer window, man).

However, for months, rumors have suggested that Mbappé could be a likely operation for the summer of 2020, but Paris Saint-Germain's unwillingness to sell their greatest star (Sorry Ney) diminishes the credibility of the possible transfer. Things could be much easier for Real Madrid, however, in 2021. But, why? There is a determining factor for this to be the case: the date of Mbappé's contract ending with the Parisians. The young French striker finishes contract with PSG in June 2022, which is why, if by then he hasn't renewed with Paris Saint-Germain, the current Ligue 1 champion could be forced to sell him, rather than allowing the best player in the world in a near future to leave for free.

It will be then when Real Madrid, and... Barça?, can go in with all the cash and guarantee the signing of an absolute French mad lad. Right now, Kylian Mbappé is the second most expensive transfer in history and PSG cannot risk losing him without getting some beautiful money for the young star. Clearly, they don't want him to become the new "Rabiot situation". And specially now, after the French forward himself hinted at his desire to try a new adventure in a different team.

Unquestionably, Real Madrid is forming a strong project for this upcoming season, with very important players that can play at a great level in Europe, but, certainly, Mbappé would be the final cherry on top to an already astonishing team; a team that could rule the world in years to come.

There other rumors, however, that place Mbappé at the Bernabeu in a much nearer future. In the end, the guy is gonna end up at the Bernabéu (It would be hilarious if he ends up with Neymar and Griezmann at Barcelona, becoming the replacement of GOAT Messi). What is clear now is that he's not a short-term choice incorporation, especially since Eden Hazard and Jovic have already been signed for that.

Mbappé... A dream that could be fulfilled in the future, as long as there is complicity between the player and the range of possibilities. It's going to open in 2020 or 2021. I'm not sure, still a long time for that, ok? Meanwhile, FC Barcelona will try to interfere in Mbappé's future transfer, so he never ends up in the Spanish capital.
