SERIOUSLY! Man United Should Hear This (At All Costs!) Before Signing Maguire

Man Utd... Wanting to pay £90 million for Harry Maguire? THAT F****** RIDICULOUS!!! I know you guys are a pretty rich club, but... Have you thought of fishing some players in Spain? They're actually really cheap and better quality than a 26 year old English defender that, clearly, is not at his peak. Seriously... THEY'RE A BARGAIN!!!

Yep! This is it. It all looks like Bob Woodward, once again, has lost his accounting touch and is letting the Red Devils spend £90 million on... Who was it again? Anyways, I don't think any Manchester United fan is going to read this, neither are the ones responsible for this outrageous transfer signing (if it happens), but, if you're a Manchester City or Liverpool fan (Just like me), you'll be probably be laughing all out loud. THIS GUYS ARE COMPLETE IDIOTS!

It is my duty, however, as a football fan and a professional journalist to try to warn Ole Gunnar Solskjær about what could be "the worst and most expensive centre-back signing of all time". Sorry Leicester, but you ain't getting any money!

OK, let's get on with it: Harry Maguire... Is not a bad defender; not gonna lie about that. But, £90 million for him? Seriously? Twenty years ago, you could buy Zidane and Figo, both, for less than that price. Ten years ago? Cristiano "SUUUUUU" Ronaldo. And now? Maguire... Really? What's going to happen in ten years at this rate? Are you guys out of your mind?

Yes! Maguire is, indeed, an astounding safeguard. He has proven that. He's additionally great at moving the ball and at distributing it from the back, regardless of the fact that he resembles a bank vault tumbling down a flight of stairs when he runs. This is no slight on him. Clearly, the time he was at his best level has passed.

During the 2018 World Cup in Russia, he was great, one of a kind, an unbreakable dead lock as well as headache for every team he faced, not having a single clue how the ball ended up in the back of the net after every corner. At that time, £80 or £90 million wouldn't have been that bad, specially with the whole transfer market being totally hyper-inflated (A 19-year-old has moved from Benfica to Atletico Madrid for £113 million after a solitary season in the first team? Oh well). But, now? Nah, fam! Not buying that!

True thing is that Harry "Potter" Maguire is among the best Premier League centre-backs (Who said that?) and one of the best for England (That's because the rest are s***), but... Seriously, England are not that good! Why do teams like to spend so f***** much in defenders!? And why are so many English defenders selling for more than the average defender!? WHY!?

And this comes after Crystal Palace fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who still lacks experience but who has impressed in his 1st season, moved to Manchester United this season for an outrageous £50 million. You'd need to consider that quite a bit of that was legitimately corresponding to Wan-Bissaka's extensive guarantee, yet of course he has been chosen to play in a position where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as of now has Diogo Dalot, a 20-year-old who himself cost £19 million and was acquired for his very own obvious guarantee the previous summer. Evidently, Manchester United don't know how to spend their money wisely, and other clubs use that in their advantage.

We have seen this with the great acquisitions of "pianist" Alexis Sanchez, and others of the likes of Angel Di Maria, Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marouane Fellaini, and Morgan Schneiderlin (Wait! Did he actually play with United?)

OK, I'm going to stop being harsh with the Red Devils. I know why they would like to spend so much in a centre-back, even a full-back. THEIR DEFENSIVE BACK-LINE IS AN ABSOLUTE S***HOLE! £90 million is Virgil van Dijk type cash, not Maguire, mate. Matthijs De Ligt type cash, not Maguire. Kalidou Koulibaly type cash... You see where this is going, right?

With all the "not love I have" to Harry Maguire, he isn't close enough to players of that class to warrant that cash. On the off chance that reports are to be believed, De Ligt turned United down (Understandable) and Napoli isn't selling Koulibaly for anything short of his release clause, some place in the £110-120 million territory (Very understandable). Van Dijk? Ha, ha, ha... He's not going anywhere, you hear me, Ole?

If you have been reading so far, Maguire is a bad option, and, clearly, Manchester United could get a better player for less. Really? Bargains exists? YES! BARGAINS EXISTS!

The £90 million United offer for Maguire would more than likely get them French World Cup-champ Samuel Umtiti from Barcelona, or even Inter Milan super-defender Skriniar; the sort of player that would block opposition without getting injured in the process. Roma's Kostas Manolas was aveilable for less but now he has moved to Napoli. The same for Bayern Munich's Mats Hummels, who has now moved back to ol' home Borussia Dortmund. But, oh well...

There's still doubts if they will really purchase Maguire for that sum, or if they'll perish in their willingness to bring the Englishman to Old Trafford (not that extreme). I hope they're not stupid, and this doesn't happen. Even Shkrodan Mustafi is available from Arsenal at the cost of £30 million. Seriously... HOW MANY THINGS DO I NEED TO SAY TO PREVENT YOU GUYS (MAN UTD) FROM MAKING THE WORST DECISION OF YOUR LIVES!?
