The 10 Super Transfers to keep us dreaming
The 2018/19 season is near its end, and with it, the awaited transfer window opens in this new summer solstice.
Fans of all around the world will be waiting with patience for their favorite players to change teams and see how their teams will look by the start of the new season.
That's why we, here at the watch, have decided to make a list of players we think will make an important impact this summer. Neymar, Griezmann, Dybala... Who will be the signing of the summer?
1. Antoine Griezmann (Atlético Madrid)
Last summer, he decided to stay with Atlético Madrid after multiple rumors which placed him in Barcelona. This year, it seems it has all changed. His famous video, "La décision", doesn't matter anymore, as he has already announced that he will not continue with "Los Rojjiblancos" next season. Will he finally end up at the Camp Nou this year or take hist talents to France?
2. De Ligt (Ajax)
After an astonishing breakout season with Ajax in the Champions League this season, the young Dutch centre-back is one of the players with the most suitors on the international scene right now, with the likes of Real Madrid, Juve, Barcelona and Manchester United all keeping an eye on the youngster. Barça and Manchester United, however, seem to be the two teams with the biggest odds to land De Ligt this summer.
3. Neymar Jr. (PSG)
Like every summer, the future of the Brazilian star is unknown. He stated recently that he is "a person who likes new challenges." Real Madrid? Or a possible comeback to Barcelona? We'll have to wait and see... Wherever he goes, Neymar's future will for sure be one of the hottest topics this summer.
4. Kylian Mbappé (PSG)
"Maybe it's time to have more responsibilities, maybe it's PSG with pleasure or maybe is somewhere else with a new project," said Mbappé recently. There are rumours of Real Madrid officials lurking around Paris drooling over the 20 year old french striker, who seems set to take over the world's best player spot in the next few years.
5. Dybala (Juventus)
Although he contradicted the words of his brother, in which he said "La Perla" would change team this upcoming season, Dybala still appears to be in the agenda of some of the greatest teams in Europe, Atlético and Inter amongst them, waiting to see if the words of Dybala's brother actually become a reality.
6. Keylor Navas (Real Madrid)
Despite his great performances and having won three Champions Leagues protecting Real Madrid's goal after the farewell of captain Iker Casillas, Keylor Navas has never been able to win the top figures of the white team's over. The arrival of Courtois this season has made his exit from the club pretty evident. Where to tho? Only time will tell...
7. Eden Hazard (Chelsea FC)
One of the names of the summer! The Chelsea and Belgium forward has already shown his love for the idea of being part of "Los Galacticos" for many years and it is clear by now that the superstar will be leaving Stamford Bridge very soon. Once the Europa League final is over, his signing for Real Madrid seems a matter of days.
8. James Rodríguez (FC Bayern Munich)
After two years on loan in Germany, the Colombian will almost certainly return to Real Madrid, where he'll meet again with Zidane, who has shown no interest in James continuing playing at the Bernabeu. With that in mind, it looks like the Premier League could be his next destination, with Manchester United and Chelsea having him in their agendas.
9. Leroy Sané (Manchester City)
One of the stars for Man City last season, Leroy Sané, has lost all his importance for Guardiola this 2018/19 season. The German winger hasn't had the chances he wanted this campaign, with the Spanish coach betting on Sterling, Bernardo Silva and even Mahrez in the big games ahead of the German starlet. Due to this uncomfortable change in the pecking order, Sané could be heading back to the Bundesliga this summer, with Bayern Munich as the favorites to sign the youngster.
10. Phillipe Coutinho (FC Barcelona)
By far, one of the worst flops Barcelona has experienced since the signing of Zlatan a few seasons ago. The Brazilian hasn't lived up to the expectations, after some impressive seasons with Liverpool.
His slow and poor attacking mentality hasn't been enough to make an impact with the La Liga giants, who clearly, want to sell him and send him away from the Camp Nou as soon as possible. He's future is unknown at the moment, with Chelsea in the race for his possible signing if Hazard finally leaves "The Blues" this summer (unless the transfer ban continues).
