The True King Of Westeros

Attention! Spoiler alert! Spoiler alert! Before you start: In the following article, you will find spoilers of the last season of Game of Thrones. If you have not seen it yet, we recommend that you turn around.

Are you still here? Haven't left yet? Then... Let's go into it.

2019. The year everyone was waiting for, the Game of Throne's journey has finally come to an end. Clearly, the end of an era and a great series for some and the beginning of another

"collect signatures to redo the 8th season of Game of Thrones" kinda thing for others. It's hard for everyone (I know, it's tough, I cried too), but, Game of Thrones has come to an end. So, let it go, LET. IT. GO.

After eight successful seasons and 73 intense episodes from start to end, the streaming platform HBO aired the last episode of a series that will go down in history as one of the best of all time. However, there are many followers of the saga who do not agree with the end the writers have chosen as the fate of the Six Kingdoms (Winterfell is independent now. Alleluia!, Sansa doing bits).

Therefore, there are many people who turn to the Internet (Best solution ever, duh) in search of alternative endings to the season and even those who mount campaigns on platforms such as "Change.org" so that the creators can rewrite the whole story.

Game of Thrones has been an amazing series that has been known for its unpredictable turns at every season: Who was expecting Locke to cut Jamie's hand? (Not me, shocker!) Who expected "The Red Wedding"? (Named after the wine they drank that day). Who even expected Jaime to end up having sex (just a little) with Brienne of Tarth? (We all knew that was gonna happen, right?). That's exactly what makes GOT so great, so stop the non sense and the crying (you don't see me crying).

Anyways, we have to mention a funny one: Among these alternative endings, the fans have highlighted this one, already viralized through social media. The video shows a more frightening ending than we could have ever imagined. Have a look!

Although it was George RR Martin himself who decided that Bran Stark was to be the King of the Six Kingdoms, as the actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark) has acknowledged in a statement in the documentary "Making Game of Thrones," that the followers of the series would have preferred to see other characters like Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, Sansa Stark or even the bearded dwarf Tyrion Lannister reign on the Iron Throne (Which just got barbecued by Drogon).

For that same reason, there are more and more who share an alternative ending in which Bran Stark does not end the series as the King of Westeros, but as the true Night King.

An ending in which Daenerys Targaryen does not destroy King's Landing as revenge for all the damage suffered during the past few years, but it is Bran Stark himself through his 'skin-swapping' power. As shown in the video in question, Bran is able to control Daenerys "somehow" so that she continues to devastate King's Landing, even after the surrender of Cersei Lannister's army. Something that already happened seasons ago, when the youngest of the Stark controlled his guardian Hodor in one of the most emotional episodes in the series (Hold the door!, That and Iron Man's death are two things I'll never get over).

Therefore, this alternative ending would leave us with the Night King being the true King of Westeros. A final that would be applauded by a large number of followers of the series, who have already shared this version with their friends (Who probably, haven't even watched a single episode of the series and who honestly don't care. Seriously people, stop, they don't care).

However, and it sad to say, the ending has been written. And it doesn't seem like it is going to change any time soon (Sorry to "change the final of Game of Thrones" people's petition). Daenerys Targaryen has been murdered, Jon Snow has returned to the other side of The Wall with his friend Tormund and Bran Stark is the king of Westeros. At least, think about it: We got a good ending for our favorite dire wolf Ghost, who finally got the love he deserved. So, if you still not happy, even with that...

Just deal with it and wait for Arya's spin-off series sailing to the West..., might never happen tho.
