Transfer Round-Up: Rodrigo To City For £62.6!?
10. WHAT!? RODRI IS LEAVING!?
According to many Spanish outlets, like 'Marca' and 'Mundo Deportivo', Rodrigo Hernandez,a.k.a Rodri a.k.a the mother f***** replacement of Busquets in La Roja, will leave Atlético de Madrid this summer as a club "everyone loves" is paying his release clause of £62.6 million. PSG? Nah man.
The best positioned team to stea... I mean sign him seems to be Manchester City, although there are several great European clubs who are also after him. Barcelona... WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? Sign him! The guy is a f***** bargain!
9. And the new coach for Chelsea is...
Surprise! Surprise! According to 'The Sun' (most reliable source of course), there has been a secret meeting between Chelsea's Roman Abramovich and former star Frank Lampard, who's currently coaching Derby County.
Frank Lampard... NEW CHELSEA COACH (Can you guys imagine? Nice, isn't it?). For the time being, there's nothing sure but this a move could happen any minute now. After Sarri's departure, Chelsea needs a coach, so, what better way than an absolute legend to lead the club to victory?
8. Rabiot still playing?
After being under the radar of the biggest teams in Europe, it looks like Adrien Rabiot's is finally leaving PSG.
According to the Italian media, the French man is very near to becoming a Juventus player on July 1st, after his contract with the Parisians ends, in exchange for £8 million as a bonus for not renewing and arriving at no cost. Cheeky Rabiot... Have you started thinking about being a professional bench warmer at Turin?
7. Can Liverpool have the best defence in the world?
According to Italian newspaper"Il Mattino", Jürgen Klopp's side have started contacts with Serie A team Napoli, in order to sign one of the best and most powerful defenders of the Italian football league: Kalidouuuuuu... Koulibaly!
A highly sought-after centre back he has a market value of £67.8 million, but as he is considered one of the world's best, alongside VVD and PQ, his signing could exceed £100 million. Clearly, his great season with Napoli has made his price rise like foam!
6. There would already be an agreement between Atletico and João Félix
It all looks like Atletico Madrid are set to complete the signing of Portuguese starlet João Félix from Benfica, and an announcement could be made in the next few hours. Atletico have won the race for the promising youngster, beating out the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United for his signature.
Atletico would pay his £107.3 million release clause to bring the forward to the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano. Clearly, spending so much on a 19-year-old is a gamble from Atletico's part, but, with Antoine Griezmann leaving the club this summer (Barcelona, here I come!), Felix could become the team's new talisman. According to Portuguese newspaper, Record, Felix may already be in Madrid ahead of the imminent completion of his transfer.
5. What a surprise! De Ligt hasn't made a decision about his future yet
It seems Dutch international and Ajax captain, Matthijs De Ligt, hasn't given his "yes" to PSG yet as it was speculated, and the operation could be currently on a standby. The future of the Dutch man is still a mystery, with PSG, Barcelona and Juventus all fighting for the signature of one of the most promising defenders in the world.
4. Thomas Müller is alive!? And he's going to China!? Was he not German!?
According to the German media (all German media, no discrimination), Bayern Munich Thomas Müller would have received a dizzying offer from China for £23 million pa year. In addition, Bayern would receive a nice sum for him.
It all looks like the dilemma "stay in the club of my life" and "money... My precious!" is on the Bavarian's roof now. So now the question for Müller is: Should I stay or should I go?
3. # NeymarBack?
According to Brazil's "Globoesporte", Neymar's talks with Barcelona are real and they're pretty advanced, with the Brazilian star happy to return to the Camp Nou, after his PSG nightmare, and obviously, because the Parisians seemed to have opened the door for him to leave this summer. I'm excited for this!
The operation could be completed for around £89 million plus some other player like Dembélé (I'm fine with it), Umtiti (Ok...) or Rakitic (DON'T EVEN TOUCH HIM, MOTHER F******!). I guess we'll need to wait and see how this transfer rumor develops and see if it finally becomes a reality. # NeymarBack?
2. Liverpool tired of Mané!? £90 million for Dembélé!?
FC "Lazy" Barcelona seems to need some money for Griezmann, Neymar and possibly De Ligt this summer, and that's why they're planing on making some cash by selling: Dembélé, Rakitic, Coutinho and Umtiti are the most likely players that could be on the way out this summer.
And that's why, according to the latest rumors, Liverpool, seem to be the most interested in Dembélé, as an improvement for Sadio Mane, who has been linked to Barcelona rival's, Real Madrid many times over. If the French youngster finally goes, Barça would make about £95 million.
1. Manchester United "surprisingly"wants to double Pogba's salary... I wonder why?
The last story of the day is not surprise, as Man United is preparing for the worst. After the latest declarations from French midfielder Pogba, in which he demanded "new challenges", the Red Devils would have finally accepted to double the salary of the French man (Classic!): £556,000 weekly, and £28 million yearly. If that doesn't work... Well... Coutinho, perhaps?
